Clash of Worlds
Gnomes are one of the smallest of the common races, generally standing just over 3 feet in height. Life began for the gnomes on an odd rock orbiting just over 300 ft above the world. As they began to mine the rock for resources and to unlock its many secrets they eventually found their way to the center.
The Archon found within changed their outlook and goals entirely. Combined with the chaotic forces, terrifying speed, famine and ridiculous drop on the surface of the rock the Celestial within has had a regulating effect on gnomish society. While the freedom of creativity and invention still makes for the bread and butter of the Gnomes of Defense Platform A0013 Designation Purity, Risk Assessment and Resource Allocation make for a more lawful outlook.
Since the Awakening of their new power source DPA0013P has become home to several Lantern Archons, whose natural curiosity and general goodwill melds nicely within society. It also helps to have light sources involved in most projects. The Gnomes have mastered such things as an Archimedian Death Ray, Parachutes, Grapnel Hunting, Siege Engineering, winches and resource gathering nets.
Standard Racial Traits
Ability Score Racial Traits: Gnomes are physically weak but surprisingly hardy, and their attitude makes them naturally agreeable. They gain +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma, and –2 Strength.
Type: Gnomes are Humanoid creatures with the gnome subtype.
Size: Gnomes are Small creatures and thus gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus and Combat Maneuver Defense, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Base Speed: (Slow Speed) Gnomes have a base speed of 20 feet.

Defense Racial Traits
Eternal Hope: Gnomes rarely lose hope and are always confident that even hopeless situations will work out. Gnomes with this racial trait receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against fear and despair effects. Once per game session, after rolling a 1 on a d20, the gnome may reroll and use the second result.
Feat and Skill Racial Traits
Keen Senses: Gnomes receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
Projectized: Gnomes receive a +2 racial bonus on any Craft or Knowledge checks made in pursuit of their chosen project. This project must be chosen at character creation.
Magical Racial Traits
Lightbringer: Gnomes are immune to light-based blindness and dazzle effects, and are treated as one level higher when determining the effects of any light-based spells or effects they cast (including spell-like and supernatural abilities). If a member of this race has an Intelligence of 10 or higher, it may use light at will as a spell-like ability.
